2014 more running needed

Mrs. P and I have had a lovely day out together today.

Starting with breakfast at a local garden centre we then headed to the lovely village of St Michaels.

The National Garden Service encourages villages to get together and show off their gardens to anyone willing to pay a small charge, which all goes to charity.

In theory it is a simple enough task: open your garden gate and chsrge people to let them wander round it.

The reality was clearly much greater.

Every garden had helpers on hand to answer questions.

There was also an opportunity to try your hand on tombolas, buy teas, cakes, sandwiches and ice creams; and of course plants.

We now have 6 more plant varites for our garden that we did not have before.

This garden had a tribute to The Flower Pot men.
We have the flower pot man and flower pot dog, but, as you'd expect, not a weed in sight.

Have a great week.
