Weird weather

A public holiday and a scorcher this morning hence the beach attire the kids are wearing. Thirty minutes before we were due to leave for my HoD's house for a BBQ the sky blackened and we had a huge thunder and lightening storm. Then the scorching weather returned and we had a fun afternoon. We even had a tractor ride around his garden (ten of us were in the trailer behind) and hubby had an axe wielding lesson and only managed to scratch the tree trunk - much to the hilarity of the kids!
