Olivia's 7th Birthday party

It was epic. Since last year I have promised Olivia that when we have a house with a garden we would have a party at home for her and play games. Well her wish came true today and she had the best time. My Mum aka chief party assistant was amazing and I couldn't have done it without her.

Fancy dress was optional and Olivia came in her new Super girl outfit.

Olivia planned the day and it went something like this:

Fish tail game (thanks Mum for cutting out all the fish and attaching string to them).
Guess the feet (the kids were surprisingly good at this).
Pass the parcel x 2 (thanks again Mum for preparing these).

Then we had a short interval for water and a bit of skipping (yes Olivia had written this into her itinerary for the day).

Sucking smarties (this was a surprisingly difficult game!).
Telling your favourite jokes.

Party food time.

Back to the games:
Spud and spoon race.
Dressing up relay race which was my absolute favourite so had to feature in the blip above!
Parachute games, the favourite being cat and mouse (I was fortunate enough to borrow the parachute from the ES department at school).

A change into swim wear for lots of water balloon games which were so much fun.

Then it was time to sing Happy Birthday to Olivia and blow out the candles on her cake (and all the kids loved my cake, hurrah).

Then the parents started to arrive to collect their children much to the disappointment of the children as they still wanted to play! It took some time to get them all out of the house! I guess it was a good party by their reactions.

We were all exhausted by the afternoon but it was worth it just to see Olivia so happy and having fun with her friends.
