Waiting for the Queen's baton

It was an exciting time in Mintlaw this evening as the community came out to support the Queen's baton relay as it passed through our village. Hubby and I went along with the grandkids, and their mum. Their dad was working so couldn't join us. Lola was delighted when one of the marshals presented her with a commemorative flag, which she will no doubt show off to her friends at nursery next week. I was spoiled for choice of blip today as I had spent the earlier part of the day at the Insch Homecoming event, but this family one won the day. It's unlikely that today's event will be repeated in my lifetime!
