If you can't beat them...

Blue Tit (Parus caeruleus)

We have a friend who has garden birds which will feed out of his hand. As he only lives 100-150 yards away we think our garden birds may be able to gain enough confidence to do the same thing.

Our first steps towards this are getting the birds used to us being out in the garden while they are at the feeders. One of the ways we are doing this is by sitting about 6 feet away from the feeders drinking our tea when we have a break from pottering in the garden.

This shot is a fledgeling Blue Tit taken from the garden chair. Typically I took lots of shots but it was the very first which appealed to me!
