The medieval old town of Tallinn-

- is well preserved, although there are loads of pompous, modern glass buildings surrounding it. Tallinn is an old Hansa town with an enchanting atmosphere: there are plenty of galleries, cafes and restaurants, as well as small handcraft boutiques.

The birthday party continued today with a champagne breakfast, a stroll in the old town area, a nice dinner in an Italian restaurant, some shopping, and a boat back to Helsinki in the evening.

I started to have some butterflies in my stomach - towards Rio de Janeiro tomorrow!
