Fado singer in Lisboa

So today it was time to start the long-awaited trip to Brazil!

We left with a bang - with a big fight between A and me. We had decided the time we needed to leave, but somehow I just kept lingering on, tidying the place and putting things away - because Paula's hen party will take place at Tyven after we have left - with some twenty girls partying and sauna bathing and staying overnight, so probably there was no need to tidy the place up, but still...

So in the end when I was ready, I found A outside working at the wood chopping machine refusing to stop. Well, we made up during the drive to the airport, made it there in time, and flew to Lisbon for our first stop-over.

We stayed overnight at the Boutique Hotel in a very romantic room with a view to the old town and the harbour. Went for a dinner at a fado place, where this very talented, young fado singer performed. You can clearly see in the picture the true nature of fado - it is all about emotion, longing, or saudade.

Tomorrow we will head for Rio de Janeiro - tudo bem!
