Day 4
Our contribution to 'Together'.
Taken from one of the temples in Siem Reap.
On a month long vacation to South East Asia, we are in our first main stop, Cambodia, a country devastated by the atrocities of war during the 1970's.
With everything they have gone through, they are getting things back "together" one smile at a time.
The pains of the not so distant yesterdays are here as is evident by the number of people killed each year here from all the land mines. Thankfully, the number of deaths are decreasing rapidly with worldwide support.
The people here have been so friendly to us and everywhere you go, you see a smile, and not just a fake one. The people here are so thoughtful, so kind.....so genuine. It brings tears to our eyes.
This Blip project symbolizes what the world needs. Peace. Harmony. Togetherness.
The Goose and I are so thankful to be given the opportunity to work abroad for the year and take this vacation. We are seeing firsthand how a way to achieve more peace and togetherness is by travel. Experiencing another's sights, foods, and culture helps to reiterate the fact that, yes, we are so different in many ways, but we can all hold hands under the same beautiful stars.
Together, much love, peace and happiness to you all.
