Cinnabar Moth

An early morning bike ride on to the Moors. Met up with a couple who live just a few doors up our street. Enjoyed a mini peloton chat as we cycled before the took a shorter route. I must have picked up the pace as I completed the ride in under two hours a personal best.

I then returned to our small quarry in the woods to show Richard the amazing display of orchids. As I was prowling around with the camera I spotted this moth which I hope I have correctly identified as a Cinnabar Moth. The striking colours really caught my eye.
