" HERE'S LOOKING AT YOU " - Ibiza Part 2
Just had to blip this happy little chappie, the symbol of Ibiza and you can see why as they are everywhere. Just as well as they keep the small insect population under control.
We took this photo on the first Sunday morning and at that time the weather was glorious. By lunch time, dark clouds started massing and without any warning, the wind suddenly appeared from no where and started uprooting all the sun umbrellas on the beach. One pitched into Mr A's head, spilling his drink, tumbled over him and headed, point first, into the family next to us. Fortunately, the Grandma was unhurt but the children were screaming and very frightened.
Within 10 minutes, the beach was deserted everyone hurrying off to cafes, bars etc. We sat and watched as the dark clouds were actually forming just half a mile away, over the next bay, and were rising up and swirling. Having just paid 15 euros for our sunbeds/brollie etc. we were reluctant to leave and stayed until the rain started. Within 2 hours, the sun was shining again and you would never know it had happened.
That was the only rain we had in two weeks. How different to this island.
Hope you've all seen the sun today and apparently it will be hotter tomorrow. For those interested, our luggage turned up late morning but as yet I have only taken out the essentials (washing naturally).
Thankyou for taking a look at our holiday pics. More tomorrow where I will take you to Escana beach. Night xx
