York
This was the 16.11 just pulling out of York station on the way to Hull.
We passed Selby, crossed the Ouse, saw the M62 and looked out of the window across a flatter that flat landscape littered with power stations on the horizon. And as the glorious site of the Humber Bridge approached we went through Brough (pronounced Bruff) and Hessle (pronounced Hezzle) on the way to Hull Paragon. Past Clive Sullivan way, under the flyover (pronounced fly-ovva) and then with a little shuffle on past the infirmary we were at Hull Paragon to be met by my folks.
Good trip out to Hessle Foreshore after tea for stone-chucking and some mud squelching and then excellent football on the telly back at home.
And, for no real reason apart from a) it's great and b)the fact that this band's national team were chucking everything at the Belgians in the end, here's summat American.
