Why?

Did I ever plant Scotch Thistle in the garden! Onopordium acanthium is a monster plant. I grew it from seed over twenty years ago and still have occasional seedlings appearing in that part of the garden.

Why? Well it is a fabulous architectural plant, I love the spiny, hairy flowers and the seedheads attract birds but its huge and very spiny .... I must be mad!
