Glamorous assistant!

I heard recently of someone who doesn't like geraniums! How can anybody not like geraniums?!

It is official, I am a glamorous assistant. This afternoon I helped a friend present a PowerPoint show. She was the presenter and I was the "technical assistant". In fact all I had to do was press the space bar on the laptop to move on to the next slide, but she frequently referred to me as her "glamorous assistant"! The slides were pictures of banners made by Surrey WIs over the past ninety years. They are interesting historical artefacts, beautiful examples of exquisite needlework and all have a story to tell. Some of the banners are still displayed at WI meetings, and a few years ago we had a splendid county event called "Banner Bonanza" where lots of the banners were on show. The slides were collected a while ago but I recently converted them to a show that could be shown on a digital projector, and updated the notes. There are so many of the banners that we could only cover half the county and will maybe be invited back another day.
