Roatan, Honduras

Formally British Honduras. After Panama our next stop was Puerto Limon, but it was Sunday, everything was closed and the place was dirty and unkempt, so we made our way back to the ship, stopping off in the indoor market. Rose, Roy and I had a foot massage and pedicure, very relaxing and I bought some ground coffee. Not a place to enthuse about. Day at sea then Roatan.

Anyway Roatan, took a taxi and did the Island tour, went to an Iguana and monkey sanctuary, The poor monkeys, two of them, were caged, but the Iguanas were all in the trees, absolutely huge things, because it had been raining they stay in the trees, once the sun comes out they move to ground level. The Iguanas are protected as the locals used to eat them, they taste just like chicken!

Back to the ship, formal night tonight, black tie for the men and posh frocks for the ladiesRoaton,Honduras
