Flowers from the garden of my mother-in-law

Yesterday my mother-in-law cut some peonies and jasmine twigs from her garden for us to take home. They look just wonderful and the jasmine has got an intoxicating smell.

It has been raining the whole day today - went to see my aunt S in the morning - she is pretty much a prisoner to her own bed, which seems a fairly scary thought, but she seems to be in high spirits, nevertheless.

Because of the rain I allowed myself to become a prisoner of the media: watching the quarterfinals in Winbledon on the tv and the iPad simulatneously. There were two matches on at the same time that I wanted to see - Roger Federer and Milos Raonic were my favourites, not necessarily in that order...
