The student field trip

We rushed to the seaside this afternoon in time for high tide.

The Sandscale Haws National Nature Reserve is on the edge of Duddon Sands north of Barrow-in-Furness and the visit was a real breath of fresh air.

There was real fresh air of course and new views of the Lake District Mountains along this new and different Flora and Fauna - a real treat.

The entertainment included this group of rather tired looking students on a University field trip. They had thought they were heading for the mini-bus but the still lively lady professor had just one more thing to show them. - "Natterjack toads this way!"

I was just about to try and take this panorama of the Duddon Estuary and the mountains when they set off in front of me. The way the Fuji X-E1 takes a motion panorama is that you press the shutter and move the camera slowly left to right. It takes multiple photographs and then combines them into one all within the camera.

This means that some of the students appear to have twins, some don't know if they are coming or going and some have been sliced into bits.

I hope they enjoyed their trip to the seaside as much as I did.
