Sheep having a paddle to cross from one side of Mickleden to the other this evening.

A little rain overnight means the water has started to trickle down the valley but it still disappears out of sight after a short distance.

A trip into Ambleside this morning to visit Fred HoldsworthBookshop. No visit to the area is complete unless this we buy some books from this gem. Always a friendly greeting, great chat and advice and easy to find a book new or unconsidered to buy for pleasure or learning - plenty of interesting non-fiction. Its a shop not too big but just big enough to find something you never knew you wanted - a proper bookshop.
