Glastonbury/ Arrival

In the end it was all pretty straightforward, at least from my perspective; the Minx's massive enthusiasm for Glastonbury had combined with her organisational skills to ensure that we were confident we had everything we needed either packed or on a list before today. This morning I packed the last few bits and pieces, dropped Dan and Abi at the house and then drove south to pick up the Minx.

The drive down to Glastonbury was great - sunny weather, clear roads, a couple of pitstops - so we arrived relaxed and unpacked the car and set off to find our way onto the site and thence on to our tipi. But, blimey, away from the car's air-conditioning it quickly became apparent just how warm a day it was and it ended up being quite a slog, especially as the last part of our trek was uphill.

We freshened up quickly enough, though, got everything unpacked and headed bak down into the festival. I'm not sure if there was any music playing, this evening, but we certainly hadn't got anything planned. Instead we met up with some friends by the cider bus and sat in the evening sun. Perfect.
