A tranquil sanctuary
Someone once said " A garden isn't meant to be useful. It's for joy" and I tend to agree. This particular garden was like being in another world, a little pocket of lush abundant beauty tucked away in a little corner of Edinburgh. The garden in question is Dr. Neil's Garden by Duddingston Loch in Edinburgh, where the photo is taken. I had heard about it for a while but had never taken the time to go but today was so warm and sunny that I thought it a perfect opportunity for a visit. I wasn't disappointed, I can only say that I perhaps came close to experiencing what it might be like to step from a barren desert into a flourishing tropical oasis. As it was so quiet it felt like someone had lavished me with my own personal garden for a day, an experience I won't forget.
