Park Guell, Barcelona
We caught the train from Flaca to Barcelona for a whirlwind day trip. I'm not a city person, but was quite taken with Barcelona even though there are THOUSANDS of tourists to add to an already busy city. I know we were also tourists there and because of that it made me think about the whole concept of visiting places as a tourist; what each individual takes away from a place and what they give to somewhere (there are positives as well as all the negatives).
Anyway, there are so many amazing sights to see and photograph that it was hard to choose what to post, but maybe this isn't an obvious view.
Park Guell was originally planned to be a housing development, but is now a (relatively!) peaceful place with fantastic views of the city, various Gaudi designed structures (including this terrace) and a large number of green parakeets; enough to give you serious neck ache trying to photograph them in their nests.
