Southmost
The most southerly point of England - Lizard. I wonder if there is a specifically designated rock that is the last bit of "England" as opposed to a bit on the floor of the Atlantic.
Having arrived at The Pointy Bit by what was far from a direct path, it makes perfect sense to take a turning down a dead end at 90 degrees to our intended route.
We'd picked up S and his belongings and stuffed all of same into the car. I'm wondering just how reliable those balloons holding up the rear suspension are. We weren't able to get into the Penzance B&B until later, hence the detour.
Also, having left Malvern at 5am, somewhere to doze was high on the wanted list too!

Later arrived in Penzance only to find large sections of road system closed due to some festival. After 450 miles and 5am starts it may not surprise you that we were not especially in a festival mood.
Still, we found the B&B ok and zonked.
