Off highway log hauler

The Kaiangaroa Forest in the middle of the North Island, New Zealand is home to New Zealand's largest pine forest. The forest covers 189,000 ha and produces New Zealand's main export timber radiata pine.

This is an off highway log truck which is probably carrying approximately 100 tonne of logs. These are pulled from the harvest site to the local mill which produces either high valued pruned logs, structural logs or pulp logs.
