It is Friday
A special night as we took our friends Jane & Steve North to Burgundy's and Sheila was with us too - she normally goes to highbrow choir singing! The group were "The Jazz Police" that I had never heard of, fronted by John and Kathy Dyson, both incredibly accomplished jazz musicians from Manchester.
One of their CDs was by "Inside Outside", which I had previously bought many years ago and it was then I realised/remembered that I had seen them, probably in London as Inside Outside.
Anyway John was an artists dream with his red leather cap and dishevelled pale suit that hung on his shoulders. And Kathy's red hair half tied up half loosely uncontrolled meant that my brushes were quivering!
and the jazz was awesome - you can see and hear them here
So the quintet last night is called John Dyson’s jazz Police with John and Kathy Dyson, Martin Longhawn, Steve Hanley. and Tom Riviere. - the other 3 talented guys
Yes we were in the presence of greatness.
