Here she comes. Bringing back the island children from secondary school on the mainland, a day early because of the bad weather forecast tomorrow, and taking us off Fair Isle after our all too brief stay.

The plane was full on the way back. Us, a family of five and the pilot. Which meant someone had to be in the co-pilot's seat. So the young daughter of the family, about 12 years old, had an instant promotion from passenger to co-pilot for the flight. Lucky her; got to wear the headset and look at all the knobs and dials. But promised not to touch anything!
