Le Tour fever

A day of mixed emotions today - it would have been my dad's birthday had he still been with us so I was a bit upset this morning.

But the good news is that the solicitors have finally stopped arguing and we are ready to exchange contracts on the new house, with a move date of 25th July.

So glad it's Friday. We went through to Leeds after tea to order some furniture and I asked hubby to drive into the centre to see if we could spot any of Le Tour de France decoration. He managed to park just off one of the main squares so I could get out and take a few photos. It looks great - statues with yellow jerseys on, yellow bikes on buildings, phone boxes decorated. There were loads of people taking snaps - some just on nights out with their phones, a few others with SLRs.

We are hoping to catch a bit of Le Tour somewhere tomorrow, it is coming too close not to take the opportunity.
