Abandon Playground, Kawai

Day 1:
We arrived at Kawai at 3 a.m. but woke later that morning to explore the property. We discovered what we thought was an "abandoned" playground on our way to the beach. The time leading up to the trip, we knew we were doing a construction project, but did not necessarily know what that entailed. Joking around, we said that this would be our project. Come breakfast, our guide Kate tells us that our "construction project" will be sanding and repainting that exact playground. Personally, I was excited to be doing hands-on work that I would be able to see the hard work I was putting in.
