Mont St Michel

From our caravan we can look up to the tiny Chapel on Mt St Michel nearly 900 meters above us. At the second attempt up the usual narrow twisting roads, we found the road leading (almost) to the summit. We left the car and scrambled the last mile through dappled shade in the woodland to the top where we found the tiny new Chapel built in 1998 replacing the ancient one just a few yards below. The view over the University city of Chambery and below to our caravan were worth the uphill struggle in the heat. Some of the gliders were circling below us and some above us too. Another glorious day.
We are finding it very difficult to comment at the moment as the Wifi facility is often crowded. We will try to catch up as soon as possible. In the meantime thank you for sticking with us!
