Retro
Bewdley station, on the steam train line known as the Severn Valley Railway (SVR), which runs from Kidderminster (Worcestershire) to Bridgnorth (Shropshire) is styled throughout in the retro style of the steam train age, maybe 1940s/50s. Older UK residents will remember the (in)famous "Beeching Axe" of 1966 in which hundreds of miles of rural railway were closed down as uneconomical. Vandalism! Well this line was one of them.
Theline was refurbished over a period of several years, and is run and managed primarily by a volunteer workforce. It is, as you might imagine, a popular tourist magnet for the area. (I've blipped a couple of other SVR images over the last couple of months.)
