My Weapon of Mass Destruction!

Today was spent mainly in the garden. I chopped so much down.

I've cleared all the honeysuckle from along our back wall. I've chopped down rather a lot of raspberry canes which really haven't done well this year. I've also attacked a very large barberries....but it attacked me back....spiteful thing that it is. So many things have just got out of hand in our garden and it all needs cutting back.....to be continued tomorrow.

I also went into town just to get a few bits and bobs. I bought some fish on the fish stall and as it was the end of the day he gave me some clams. We were having a fish night tonight with just Alex and his girlfriend Louise. We started with the clams which were cooked in onions, wine and creme fraiche....truly amazing. We then had prawns, scallops and sardines. We were so full that the tuna steaks we should also have had have been put away for tomorrow.

I need an early night as I woke with such a bad head this morning that I couldn't go for my swim. I've got a 5k run tomorrow which is being held in Hylands Park right near to where I live...really handy as I can walk to it. Hope it's not too hot for the run...but when I've finished the sun can come out for the rest of the day.
