Beautiful Highlands

This photos shows why we moved here nearly 10 years ago to the day. Many people thought we would regret coming up here, so far from where we lived and brought up our family. I must admit there have been times, particularly in the Winter months, when I have missed the family but it is so beautiful here, everyone is very friendly, I never tire of looking at the stunning views and it is easy just to drive a few minutes to the airport, get on a plane for a short flight down to Luton, then again it is just a short drive to my son's house.

There are deserted beaches, hills to climb, pretty streams to wander along, quiet roads when you might meet the occasional other car, stunning skies and space to breath. I have been able to meet like minded (dog loving) people, who have shown me some glorious walks.

The top photo shows the view I wake up to every morning, taken just a minute ago. The bottom one is my favourite walk, taken yesterday when we went up the Cats Back.
