Sutton Bank Sculpture
Woke up to heavy rain and postponed plans for a walk on the Yorkshire Wolds.
Fortunately by the afternoon the rain had passed and we modified our plans to take Jet for a walk from Sutton Bank visitors centre. We walked along to the newly painted White Horse. The Horse was created by a Victorian business man and a school teacher in 1857. Originally lime was used to lighten the local grey rock but recently it is regularly painted. It can be seen for miles away and attracts many visitors each year.
Having missed a shot of an owl yesterday could not resist this shot of a carved owl at the visitors centre.
