Sunshine and showers punctuated much of today. Had to wait until a sharp shower had passed before Jet and I got out for a run.

I had just crossed the level crossing when the gates closed. The track is single track at this point so a safety system involves a key being transferred between the driver and signal man (pictured leaving the platform to return to the signal box).

Liked the unusual tank engine along with the traditional coaches behind.

Enjoyed the slightly cooler fresher air but not the wet vegetation and soggy socks!
