A tree bearing it's fruit in season

I noticed this tree whilst walking the dog in the local park. I don't think I've ever noticed cones being different colours before.

We have been learning about the fruits of the Spirit with the children at Church, and I took a quick photo because this tree reminded me of the paper tree that's being used as a visual aide.

And the Bible records Jesus making comments about trees not bearing fruit when they should as a visual aide too. Hence the title.
