His bite is worse than his bark
This is (from left to right) Hector and Ziggy at lunchtime today. We try to arrange it so we're not both working on the same days, but couldn't organise that today. I therefore popped back home at lunchtime to let our boys out and give them a bit of a game.
They took one look outside, and realised it was drizzling, so scampered back in and up the stairs, where they then tried to hide - not very successfully as you can see.
Yesterday evening Clive and the Dog-father took Hector and Ziggy for a longish walk, and Hector managed to get an insect bite or sting. He was really miserable last night, and just stood there with his tail between his legs, occasionally licking the place on his thigh where it was sore. He was a lot better this morning, much improved by lunchtime, and tonight he's back to his almost-normal Hectorish behaviour.
Ziggy meanwhile couldn't have cared less, and last night ate Hector's dinner. If the boot had been on the other paw, Hector would have really made a fuss of Ziggy. It's a dog's life!
