The sun also shines

Okay, so it rains a lot in the UK but that's why it's so green, that's why it's so beautiful, and that's why it's easy to grow things.
But it doesn't rain all the time or even most of the time. We're just very good at moaning about it and very easy-going about the rest of the world teasing us about it.

After a few weeks of dry weather, I'm glad it rained today. The garden and the veg plot needed watering and the waterbutts needed filling. It was perfect timing because I had other jobs to do today and the rain helped me out.

At 8.30 this evening the sun came back and I went outside to welcome it back on today's new arrival: this year's first sunflower flower.
