St Vigeans
I visited St Vigeans today, was a fabulous wee place brimming with ancient history, ive been told over 1000 years ago this wee village was once the centre of a royal estate with huge religious importance, with lots of pilgrims and monks.
The church itself is from the late medieval period when people carried swords, bit of a pattern developing this week.
There are 38 of the most important Pictish carved stones housed here which were amazing considering the tools that were available at the time, what a clever race.
Yet another school day for yours truly.
We stay in such a beautifully diverse country with a fascinating history. Let's make our own this year.
