Christmas pudding in July

Years ago, when I lived in New Zealand, I remember we celebrated Christmas in the 'winter' months of June or July!! It wasn't the same as Christmas at home in December, and I'm pretty sure we didn't have a "taste the difference' Christmas Pud!!!! Nowadays, we save our Christmas Pud until mid-summer.......and use it in an emergency when supplies get low....
