Auriverdes

K and I kicked back and watched the men's Wimbledon final today and it certainly lived up to expectations. I was kind of hoping that Federer would take the title once again but it was such an epic game that I wasn't too disappointed. To celebrate we cracked open this bottle of Ardbeg Auriverdes their new limited release bottling. The name refers to the gold colour of the whisky and to their iconic green bottle and is also the nickname of the Brazilian national team, very apt given that the world cup is on right now. I wasn't disappointed with the dram either, toasty mocha nose and salted fish aroma, coffee grounds with a depth of sweetness, and vanilla at the end , very unusual.
