Dragon boats out on the river!

It's been a full on day here! Started off with a 2 hour visit, early this morning, from folks i haven't seen in over 35 years!!!! they live in Australia and are traveling around the Maritimes for a couple of months. We all belonged to this very crazy club called The Drifters! Made up mostly of folks from the UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa etc.....meeting up every wednesday evening in a different pub in Toronto!!! Needless to say we were a pretty wild bunch back then, and so to see Bev and Gary, now in their late 60's was pretty hysterical!!! We had a great visit and i even dug out my old photo album with images from some of the camping trips and skiing weekends we took part in! Boy those were very fun times!!!

then glazing glazing glazing.....got the kiln loaded mid afternoon. then off to Sydney for paddle practice. Because it is now less that 2 weeks till race day, we worked our asses off! for over an hour we didn't stop paddling.....with many 'race' simulations - our timing was pretty damn good i have to say!

i'm exhausted...so off to bed!
