Continuing the theme

Only took two photos today - one of a pile of Heinz Baked Bean tins in our larder sent to grandchildren to reassure them their up and coming trip to foreign parts was secured. On a tip-off from TochterPleach, Angie had bought in a supply.

Second one was of this rose, the first one to bloom in my "English Rose Bed" created earlier this year with 30 bare rooted roses bought for 29.97 Euros (0.99cents/each) from the local supermarket. I think around 25 survived and while it is to be expected that the descriptions on the packaging are not quite what's inside, this rather yellow rose does make an effort to be a "Diamond Jubilee" even if I had expected a somewhat white/peach colour. Perhaps with a bit more sun it might bleach out a bit.

Beggars or better penny cent-pinchers, can't be choosers.

Stones at work, hence lack of photos!
