Visitors' Mooring

If you ever find yourself travelling between Linlithgow and Polmont on the Union Canal, and you want to get tied up, this is the place for it.

This is one of three mooring points outside the Sea Scouts' building on the canal just west of Linlithgow Bridge. Stop here and spend the night surrounded by the sheep and the cattle of the adjacent fields, maybe go for a short walk to grab a bite to eat.

Some day I think I might like a canal boating holiday. I do hope the weather would be as kind as it is today.
