Glastonbury/ Departure

We decided that whoever woke first would wake the other and we were up and packing before six o'clock. By half past we were out of the tipi and trundling down the track with our trolleys, passing revellers heading back to their tents after the final night's partying.

Even after five days, I hadn't really got my head around how big the festival is and it was odd to be walking through parts that we hadn't been to, at all. We were in the car with everything packed by a quarter to eight and off site fifteen minutes later. Result!

And that was the end of my second Glastonbury, sixteen years after the first. Had it changed much? Definitely! Would I go again? Definitely! (As long as we can get a tipi again.)
