Honey Dew

There was a bit more nostalgia today but this time for Jenny. We called into the Outward Bound Center at Anakiwa where she did her 3 week course many years ago.

It seems things are much the same although we did have a chat with an instructor who said there is a lot more health and safety considerations in their activities and many of the kids (and adults) are a bit softer. No surprises there.

Afterwards we went for a walk up the Queen Charlotte Walkway a wee bit. I showed the kids the honey dew you can collect off the Beech trees. They were even a little impressed by my Bear Grylls type survival knowledge.
