A view from Jeanneb

Blip chicks hit Edinburgh!

Well actually it's 3 blip chicks + 3 but we are working on them.

Arrived today to glorious blue skies so we made the most of it and headed up onto the castle, but as the seating was up for the Edinburgh Tattoo the views were limited.

Next stop Calton Hill which, despite many visits to Edinburgh, I have not climbed before. The light was wonderful across the city but I had to use this shot of Wendles56 atop the trig point and Corinthian Column on the far left together with our friends Anne, Helen and Jacks. This park was apparently the first in Edinburgh.

In the background is one of the follies on this hill and Nelson's Tower. Beyond them you can see the edge of Salisbury Crag below Arthur's Seat. Looking the other way are extensive views over Leith and the Firth of Forth, from the Forth Road and rail bridge to the north to Bass Rock in the south.

Having a fab time!
