Matisse

I went to see the Matisse Cut-Out exhibition today. It was quite a good day for walking around the Tate Modern as the weather was a bit grey. I'm not really an arty farty type and wasn't sure what to expect but I really enjoyed it.

I find it quite amazing how some of the paintings and cut-outs are named. I was looking at the artwork and trying to guess what it would be called before I saw the titles....I was always wrong. I obviously see something different.

Your not meant to take photos but I got a couple of sneaky ones with my phone. I think my favourite piece was in the last room. It was a stained glass window called Christmas Eve. I also liked a painting called Dancers. But they were all fascinating.

On the way, right by St. Paul's there was a huge inflatable bowler hat. It was a theatre. I've never seen anything quite like it before. I bet that's fun watching a play in that.
