UAV Encounter

On my bike meanderings this morning. I had a close encounter of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) kind.

It is the first time I’ve been close to a large one of these radio controlled model aircraft.

The person flying it was willing to make it hover near to me for a photo.

The operator obviously was on some sort of mission as he never broke stride, only the UAV paused for the photo. (Note: it seems enforcing the bike path closure was not the mission, thank goodness.)

After he passed by me I tried several more photos, but the UAV is quite invisible at 30 feet with foliage for a backdrop.

I do find these flying machines fascinating from the aircraft engineering aspect, however they certainly do open up a bag of worms for our planet’s societies.
