Through a child's eyes

I've never really given snails much thought or attention, but I am learning to appreciate their beauty more and more thanks to my children and their enthusiasm (obsession?!) for stopping to admire every specimen they spot on our walks to and from pre-school, school and playgroup. There was a bumper crop this morning. This one was clearly posing for the camera.

I'm sure my children teach me as much as I teach them some days.
