Field trip

Last weekend my husband had the inspired idea to drive us to the next village along, park the car and then guide us home through the fields. (He retrieved the car on his evening run.) The little Gs enjoyed the adventure so much that this weekend he decided to do the same again, only this time with a slight twist. This time, he parked the car in an undisclosed location on his way home from swimming, walked home and then took us out on a hunt to find the car. Again, the kids loved it, and fully believed that we were genuinely searching for the car that careless daddy had somehow lost... As an added bonus, we were just finishing our walk as the heavens opened, so we didn't even get too wet.

A lovely way to start the day.
