Day 1 of our holiday.

We're in North Wales for a few days, staying in the most amazing converted pig-sty (yes, really!) in Sarnau, Gwynedd. The views across the hills and valleys and down to the lake at Bala are incredible and the accommodation is perfect. Thick stone walls, a corrugated iron roof, plenty of light and air, a sleeping platform/mezzanine above a wet room and, best of all, our own private sauna! Bliss!

To top it off, there's a home cinema (projector and screen) installed. So, after an initial exploration of the immediate surroundings we cooked a delicious meal this evening, relaxed in the sauna and settled down to watch 'Into The Wild'. The film begins with this quote from Byron, which provided a perfect blip opportunity. A back blip in more ways than one!

"There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and music in its roar:
I love not man the less, but Nature more..."

Lord Byron
