Ferris Wheel party constructed.
Tuesday's blip was about demolition. There is construction as well. The part constructed ferris wheel looked quite striking, but getting a clear picture from Princes Street was impossible with the buses and trees in the way. A much better view from the gardens south of the railway.
According to wikipedia, a ferris wheel is "named after George Washington Gale Ferris, Jr., is a nonbuilding structure consisting of a rotating upright wheel with multiple passenger-carrying components (commonly referred to as passenger cars, cabins, capsules, gondolas, or pods) attached to the rim in such a way that as the wheel turns, they are kept upright, usually by gravity."
Of course in Scotland, there is the additional prospect that the wind can play in attempting to blow the "passenger-carrying components" sideways. :-)
